Instant grocery delivery platform BlinkIt has taken strong action against a seller after a user complained of rat in a bread packet he ordered. The user posted a photo of the rodent moving inside the bread packet on social media and had asked the company to respond to it.

The user took to Twitter to share his awful experience. In the videos and photos shared by him, one can notice a rat moving inside the bread packet. As per the user, the incident took place on February 1. “Most unpleasant experience with BlinkIt, where alive rat was delivered inside the bread packet.. This is alarming for all of us. If 10 minutes delivery has such baggage, I would rather wait for a few hours than take such items. he wrote in the caption.

The good side of this troll is the company responds after Twitter outrage. The company apologized and said that the “concern is genuine. The user also shared screenshots of the chat he had with the customer service agent at Blinkit who said that the issue has been escalated.

The Head of Customer Delight at Blinkit, also responded in the Twitter thread saying that the store has been delisted. “I head Customer Support here at Blinkit. I want to assure you, we’ve taken swift action already and de-listed the partner store, even as we are investigating the matter with the store owner. We have high standards for hygiene at all our stores, and with this incident, we have increased the frequency of audits at the store networks,” his response said.
