After the Duke and Duchess of Buckingham Palace announced their exit from the “royal duties”, the news has raised a controversy both publicly and privately. The couple’s decision was of course not accepted by the Buckingham Palace and Queen Elizabeth II has called for a meeting to discuss about Prince Harry and Megan’s future as working royals.
The royal controversy has arisen as Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s decision to step back from the royal duties was allegedly not accepted by the family’s most senior members, after the Duke and the Duchess revealed their intentions via Instagram last week.
However this weekend a newspaper revealed that Prince William was less incensed and more ‘sad’ about the announcement.
The Prince said that he was regretful that he can “no more put an arm around his brother.” He allegedly said, “I’ve put my arms around my brother, all my life, but I can’t do that anymore, we are separate entities now. I am sad about that,” he said.
The brothers are now “separate entities” but Prince William hopes matters can be resolved so the royal family can once more play as “a team”, according to reports.
“All we can do is try and support them and hope that the time comes when we are singing from the same page”.
