IPL2022: Ahead of the new 10-team season, Delhi Capitals unveiled their new jersey on Saturday. A band of red has been added to the original blue shirt and the tiger logo has gotten bigger and bolder.
Former finalist Delhi Capitals unveiled their new jersey for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Saturday. Delhi took to social media to share a glimpse of their new jersey, which is a good upgrade from their kit from the previous season.
The Delhi Capitals have added red colour to their original blue jersey. The red covers the left shoulder while the rest of the shirt has its trademark blue colour. The tiger symbol, which has been an integral part of Delhi’s logo and jersey in the past, has been given a bigger space on the shirt.
“With an equal dash of red and blue, the new jersey exudes youthful and vibrant energy. While the red symbolises the team’s on-field courage, the blue stands for balance and composure. The tiger, an intrinsic part of the DC logo, is bigger and bolder, as the team gears up to roar again!,” the Capitals said in a statement.
Delhi shared video of the unveiling of their new jersey and had their captain Rishabh Pant, fast bowler Anrich Nortje and new-recruit David Warner pose with the new jersey on Saturday.
The first batch of jerseys were given to select Delhi Capitals fans at the team’s home ground the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Additionally, select children from the city, the DC Cubs, were given official jerseys too, as part of a surprise activity curated specially for them, the franchise added.
