Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister and convenor of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) marked the first anniversary of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s arrest with a scathing critique of the Centre’s investigative agencies. Speaking to media persons in the national capital, Kejriwal lambasted the arrest as a product of a “fabricated case,” asserting that the central agencies failed to produce any substantial evidence of corruption against Sisodia.

Sisodia, arrested in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, completed a year behind bars, prompting Kejriwal to emphasize his innocence. Kejriwal’s remarks underscored the lack of tangible evidence against Sisodia, with the Chief Minister asserting that even after a year, the agencies aligned with the BJP government couldn’t substantiate their allegations with a single rupee of corruption.

Highlighting Sisodia’s pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of education in the national capital, Kejriwal praised his contributions to uplifting government schools and providing quality education to underprivileged children. Kejriwal lamented the irony of a man dedicated to public service being ensnared in what he termed a “false case,” expressing solidarity with Sisodia and reaffirming his status as an inspiration within the AAP ranks.

Despite facing repeated summons from the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in connection with the excise policy case, Kejriwal remained steadfast in his commitment to the alliance. Refusing to succumb to what he described as pressure tactics by the Modi government, Kejriwal reiterated his allegiance to the alliance and criticized the frequent summons issued by the ED.

The AAP’s official stance emphasized the ongoing legal proceedings and urged the ED to await the court’s decision rather than issuing daily summons. Kejriwal’s steadfastness in the face of mounting pressure showcased the party’s resilience and commitment to upholding its principles despite the adversities encountered.

As Kejriwal and AAP members commemorated the anniversary of Sisodia’s arrest, their unified stance against what they perceive as politically motivated tactics by investigative agencies resonated strongly, underscoring their unwavering resolve to navigate through turbulent waters while staying true to their values and alliances.
