Manmohan Singh dies: Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh died at the age of 92 on Thursday night at AIIMS, New Delhi. Known as the architect of economic reforms, Singh served as India’s 13th PM from 2004 to 2014.
China on Friday paid tributes to former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh saying that he made a “positive contribution” to the development of India-China relations recalling key agreements signed between the two countries during his tenure to address the vexed boundary issue.
Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare on Friday condoled the death of former prime minister Manmohan Singh and said he always prioritised the welfare of the country and society. “Those who are born have to die, but some leave memories and their legacy behind. Singh gave a new direction to the country’s economy,” Hazare told PTI in his native village in Maharashtra’s Ahilyanagar district.

Former prime minister Manmohan Singh’s final journey will commence from the All India Congress Committee headquarters to the cremation ground at 9.30 am on Saturday. Singh’s mortal remains will be kept at his residence 3, Motilal Nehru Road on Friday for public to offer their tributes
The mortal remains of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will be kept at his residence at 3, Motilal Nehru Road, New Delhi, today, allowing the public to offer their condolences.
On 28th December, his mortal remains will be moved to the AICC headquarters at 8:00 AM. The public and Congress workers will have an opportunity to pay their respects between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM.
Dr. Singh’s final journey will commence from the AICC headquarters at 9:30 AM tomorrow, leading to the cremation ground.
