The BCCI has announced India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted at home. As expected, Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, with Smriti Mandhana named as vice-captain.
A notable talking point is the exclusion of young opener Shafali Verma, despite head coach Amol Majumdar backing her after the England series. The final selection meeting took place at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai, attended by captain Harmanpreet, Mandhana, and Majumdar.
