PM Modi releases 6 stamps including Ram Temple, Hanuman, Jatayu and Shabri

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (January 18) released commemorative postage stamps on Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya and a book of stamps dedicated to Lord Ram from around the world. The stamp book is an attempt to showcase the international appeal of Lord Ram on various societies.

Components of the design includes:

  1. Ram Mandir
  2. Choupai ‘Mangal Bhavan Amangal Hari’.
  3. Sun.
  4. Saryu River.
  5. Sculptures in and around the temple.
  6. Today, I got an opportunity to engage myself in another programme related to the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Today, six postage stamps dedicated to the Ram Temple were released. Besides, a book of stamps issued on Lord Ram around the world was also released,” said PM Modi after releasing commemorative postage stamps on Ram Temple.

    “Lord Ram, Goddess Sita and stories of Ramayana are connected with everyone irrespective of his/ her religion or caste. Ramayana teaches us about the victory of love despite all the challenges. It connects the entire humanity with itself, and that’s why it has gathered attraction across the entire world,” added the PM.

    There are 6 stamps which include:

    • Ram Temple.
    • Lord Ganesh.
    • Lord Hanuman.
    • Jatayu.
    • Kevatraj.
    • Maa Shabri.

    The gold leaf of sun rays and ‘choupai’ lend a majestic icon to this miniature sheet. The five physical elements i.e. sky, air, fire, earth and water, known as ‘Panchabhutas’ are reflected through various design elements and establish the perfect harmony of ‘Panchamahabhutas’ essential for all manifestations.

  7. This 48-page book covers stamps issued by more than of 20 countries including like US, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Cambodia, and organisations like the UN.
