Supertron Foundation opens a Computer Empowerment Centre for underprivileged children

Extending help to the needy is the basic nature of  V .K. Bhandari, Chairman of Supertron Electronics Pvt Ltd ( SEPL) and hence it is not a surprise, he made a point to set to improve the lives of underprivileged , much before CSR has become buzz word in corporate world.

 

What started as an amateur initiative spearheaded by Bhandari has today, taken a professional shape under the Supertron Foundation and aims to leave a larger positive impact on the society and environment we live and operate in.

 

With the introduction of the new CSR activities, Bhandari has realized that today Computer literacy is must and important for all. “Computer empowerment centre” and opening chain of similar centres for underprivileged children is the new initiative. These centres have the facility of teaching computer for class room studies with audio visuals for knowledge centric coaching through LCD projector screen. 

 

Supertron Foundation has opened another “Computer empowerment centre” for underprivileged and slums boys and girls on 28th February’18 at Calcutta Social Project, Kolkata.

 

Calcutta Social Project runs an integrated child protection scheme along with women and child development activities. V. K. Bhandari and Naresh Yadav (General Manager) State Bank of India MCRO inaugurated the computer centre at CSPs Boys open shelter premises.

 

Presently Supertron Foundation is having 10 such Computer Empowerment Centres in and around Kolkata and planning to have 15 more centres by this year. Few hundreds of slums children are getting benefitted by these Computer Empowerment Centres. Supertron foundation is also providing a computer teacher and study materials at each of these Computer Empowerment Centres.
