The Member States of WHO has elected Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus as the new Director-General of WHO. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was nominated by the Government of Ethiopia, and will begin his five-year term on 1 July 2017. Tata Institute of Social Sciences prepares education master trainers in Assam

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has felicitated and issued certificates to 39 government school teachers and DIET faculty in Assam for completing the one-of-a-kind ICT and education course. As a part of the Integrated Approach to Technology in Education (ITE) initiative by Tata Trusts, the course provides hands on experience of designing lessons integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in curriculum and pedagogy. Sanjiv Singh takes over as Chairman of IndianOil

Sanjiv Singh has taken over as Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil) with effect from 1st June, 2017.  Prior to his elevation, he was Director (Refineries) on the IndianOil Board since July 2014. Concurrently, he will also be Chairman of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (CPCL) and Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Ltd.
