Anil Ambani to pay Rs 5,500 crore to Chinese banks: UK Court Directs

A UK court has ordered Reliance Group chairman Anil Ambani to pay $717 million (almost Rs 5,448 crore) to three Chinese banks within 21 days, after ruling that a personal guarantee which the Indian businessman had disputed was binding. RBI cuts interest rates again, projects GDP to contract in FY21

The Reserve Bank of India on Friday cut interest rates by 40 basis points in a surprise move to revive an economy stalled by a two-month-long nationwide lockdown to control the coronavirus pandemic.   The central bank cut the repo rate—its main lending rate—to 4% from 4.4%, RBI governor Shaktikanta Das said in a video conference.
