Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has set up an RO Plant (Reverse Osmosis Plant) at Neelgaon under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The RO Plant, inaugurated by District Collector Sachin Kurvey, will facilitate availability of pure, clean drinking water to villagers. Water discharged from underground mine is being transferred to Neelgaon through a kilometer long pipeline, where the RO plant has been installed. This purified water is supplied to the villagers. This plant purifies the water at the capacity of 1000 LPH (Liter per hour). The Rs 25 lakh RO plant has capacity to clean the water of 90 percent total dissolved solid.
Present on the occasion include Saoner SDO Namrata Chate, Tehsildar Dr Hansa Mohne, Sarpanch Vanita Mankar, members Sheshrao Mankar, Rajendra Gajbhiye, Nagpur Area General Manager M K Majumdar, Saoner Sub-Area Manager R S Singh, Sub-Area Engineer N S Verma, Colliery Manager Arup Banerjee, and others. The programme was conducted by Priyanka Madan and vote of thanks was proposed by R K Sinha.
