There were word of wars among Prime Minister Modi as the BJP star campaigner and the former CM Mamata Banerjeee. There was high hope by the BJP party to topple West Bengal Government .
BJP has got good numbers in the election but they could not manage the majority and Trinamool Congress has come to the power and Mamata Banerjee again elected as the Chief minister of West Bengal. It was a great setback for the central ruling party BJP.
During election campaigning, some slogans are coined to attack the opponents while the government at hand uses creative slogans to flaunt their work. One such slogan resonated a lot during the West Bengal assembly elections and gained popularity.
‘Khela Hobe’ was the slogan used by the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), which loosely translates to: “Game on”. The slogan used during the West Bengal assembly elections was initially meant to keep the morale of the party (TMC) workers high.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in the assembly that ‘Khela Hobe’ has been appreciated by people, so we will now celebrate ‘Khela Hobe Diwas.’ They were directly targeting the BJP and one can infer that this election slogan worked in favour of the TMC.
The TMC is now eyeing Tripura after their victory in the West Bengal assembly elections.
