- The Abu Dhabi-based Lulu Group opened its first mall in UP in Lucknow last year.
- The Group has signed a MoU of Rs 2500 crore for opening a mall in Noida.
- The total project investment of the group in Noida is pegged to be around Rs 5000 crores.
- Lulu will set up shopping malls and hypermarkets in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Kanpur, and Prayagraj.
- Currently, the group has hypermarkets in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, Bengaluru, and Lucknow.
The hypermarket and hotel chain conglomerate LuLu Group is planning to construct a new shopping mall in Greater Noida with a total investment of over Rs 2500 crores. The group has identified a land parcel in Greater Noida Sector 108 and pre-project administrative works are underway.
The Noida Authority confirmed the development and said “the UAE-based Lulu Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Rs 2500 crore for opening a mall in Noida.”
As per the current plan, the mall will have outlets of more than 300 domestic and foreign brands, 15 multiplex screens with Imax, a multi-cuisine food court with seating for 3000 people and a mega multi-level car parking facility among other features. The complex will also have a five-star hotel project. After getting final approval from the Noida authority and the UP government, it is expected to take at least three years to complete the mega shopping mall.
Apart from the hypermarket, the Lulu Group is also planning a food park in Ecotech-10 in Greater Noida. The total project investment of the group in Noida is pegged to be around Rs 5000 crores.
The Abu Dhabi-based group opened its first mall in UP in Lucknow last year. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the mega mall at Amar Shaheed Path in Golf City in July 2022. The mall spreads over 22 lakh square feet, costing around Rs 2000 crore.
The UP government last year signed an MoU with Lulu Group to set up six shopping malls and one hotel in the state. State MSME minister Rakesh Sachan signed an agreement with the Lulu Group in Dubai to set up shopping malls and a hotel.
Apart from Noida, as per the MoU, Lulu will set up shopping malls and hypermarkets in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Kanpur, and Prayagraj with a total investment of around Rs 5000 crore.
Currently, the group has hypermarkets in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, Bengaluru, and Lucknow.
