Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Bihar, said Nitish Kumar dumped the BJP to “sit on Lalu Prasad Yadav’s lap”.

Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Bihar, said, “Nitish Kumar betrayed us to sit on Lalu Prasad Yadav’s lap. Seemanchal will give a befitting reply to Nitish Kumar. Can he become the prime minister like this?”

“They [JD(U)-RJD] say I came here to start a fight. I am not here to instigate a fight. Lalu Prasad Yadav is enough for that. We need not worry under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reign,” he said while addressing a rally in Purnea, Bihar.

The senior BJP leader, in a scathing attack on its former alliance partner, said Nitish Kumar went with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD to become the prime minister one day. “They betrayed Bihar and its mandate,” said Amit Shah.

The BJP showed nobility because Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised you the CM post. But, when the Lok Sabha elections came around the corner, you betrayed us to become the next prime minister. The people of Bihar know you. They gave you the benefit of the doubt, but now they know you,” he added.

Union Minister Amit Shah landed at the Chunapur Air Force Station in Purnia at around 11 am on Friday, from where he went to the Rangbhoomi Ground to address the mega ‘Jansabha Rally’.

After addressing the Jan Bhawna rally, Amit Shah is set to leave for Kishanganj, where at 4 pm, he will hold discussions with all MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and organisational office-bearers on the current political scenario in the state.
