Delhi police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik gets an extension by one month. The Election Commission gave its nod to Union Home Ministry’s proposal to grant him one month extension.
The request was made by Home Ministry for a month’s extension under the reason that the successor was not yet finalized.
Patnaik was supposed to retire on Friday, after completing his three year tenure, but has been granted a month extension on the request by the Home Ministry.
