GlobalLogic has recently hosted “GlobalLogic Foundation Sports Meet” for their partner schools supported by GL Foundation, the CSR arm of GlobalLogic. The sports day initiative aims to encourage kids to participate in athletics and games which play a vital role in their holistic growth via this event the foundation aims at fostering the kids’ physical, social and emotional health. The activity was kicked off by Sumit Sood, Managing Director, GlobalLogic India at the Commonwealth Sports Complex. The occasion symbolizes company’s commitment to providing basic and remedial education to underprivileged children.
GlobalLogic Foundation lined up a number of exciting sports and leisure activities through inter-school game competitions such as Sumo Wrestling Challenge, Human Foosball, Cross fit Obstacle Course plan among others. This initiative is an extension to GlobalLogic Foundation’s focus on child education. GlobalLogic Foundation adopted and partnered with three schools in Delhi (NCR) to work towards education for the underprivileged in 2015. Since then, the Foundation has impacted over 2,500 kids and has spread its influence across other partner schools in Bangalore and Nagpur. The Sports Meet held today was attended by participating schools from Noida, including Om Foundation School, Swami Vivekananda Shiksha Sanstha, Ank GlobalLogic Learning Centre and GlobalLogic employees.
The Sports Day began with a vibrant inaugural ceremony, followed by a day full of engaging sports activities. Many eye-catching, captivating displays and activities were lined up, all of which were whole heartedly enjoyed and appreciated by the kids and employees. The initiative filled the hearts of audience with the spirit of sportsmanship and unity. The CrossFit Obstacle Challenge, Sumo Wrestling Challenge, Pro Dance Performances and Finale Dhol Fusion were the main attractions of the mega event. Kapil Gujjar, the first Ru-ba-ru Master of the Mister India, fitness model and consultant was also present as a guest of honour and gave away the medals to the winners and applauded with great pride.
Inaugurating the ceremony, GlobalLogic’s Managing Director Sumit Sood said, “I strongly believe that it is crucial to provide physical education both inside and outside of schools to help kids learn and develop life skills. Hence, we lay special importance on this day which gives children a chance to explore their inherent talent as they enjoy a healthy competition with each other where the children and employees take pride in demonstrating their talent. Through such events, we also help students and employees learn values of life which get imbibed into their thinking, thus helping them succeed in all walks of life. It gives me immense pleasure to see all of them participating and enjoying today’s event in large numbers.”
The event was attended by about 1,000 school children and GlobalLogic employees. The organization also shared its gratitude for being able to be a part of such initiatives which promote good cause and improve lives through social cause. This year’s event is GlobalLogic Foundation’s second successful annual sports meet in a row and this time it grew to a bigger scale exceeding its expectations.
