Hardoi News: Torrential rains continuing for the past 36 hours have completely disrupted normal life across the district. According to the Meteorological Department, a record 214 millimeters of heavy rainfall was logged in the 24 hours leading up to 8:30 AM on Saturday. The combination of heavy rain and strong winds has caused severe waterlogging in areas ranging from the city to rural villages and flood-prone zones.

Continuous rainfall over the last 36 hours has brought life to a standstill in Hardoi district, with the downpour persisting into Saturday. An observer at the weather observatory reported that 214 millimeters of rain fell in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 AM Saturday. The rain has flooded roads across the city, towns, and flood-affected villages.

Waterlogging has hampered the movement of people. Strong winds accompanying the rain have flattened standing paddy crops in the fields, raising concerns about potential yield losses. Meanwhile, power supply has been disrupted as trees and branches have fallen onto power lines. The markets also wear a deserted look due to the rain.
