The more comprehensive upgrade arrives inside the Gemini app, where Google has launched a dedicated Student Hub.
The platform brings together several learning tools in one place, allowing students to:

Free Access for Indian Students
Google is making the rollout particularly relevant for Indian learners by offering eligible college students in India and over 140 countries a 12-month Google AI Plus subscription free, valid until December 31, 2026, subject to eligibility.
The subscription includes higher Gemini usage limits, advanced AI capabilities and 400 GB of cloud storage.
For students preparing for costly coaching-driven exams like JEE and NEET, these free AI-powered study tools could improve access to personalised practice and revision planning.
However, educators continue to stress that AI should complement—not replace—official textbooks, verified study material and qualified teachers, as AI-generated questions may occasionally contain inaccuracies or miss evolving exam patterns.
