People Want Change," Asserts Tejashwi as Amit Shah Launches BJP's Bihar Blitz

As the polling day for the crucial Bihar assembly elections nears, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has scrambled its top leaders and has launched an intense campaign push in order to woo the voters. On Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address three consecutive rallies in Khagaria, Munger, and Nalanda districts, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed poll rallies in Samastipur and Begusarai. Additionally, other top leaders of the NDA - which includes the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal United (JDU), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) - will also hold several rallies in the poll-bound state.

Similarly, the Mahagathbandhan has intensified its preparations for the Bihar polls. The alliance, which includes the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and Left parties, has declared Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate and Mukesh Sahani as its deputy CM face for elections to the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly.
Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor says, "... a new option, the option of Jan Suraj, is among the people... this is not just Prashant Kishor’s fight alone. Take responsibility for your village and neighbourhood. This time, vote to ensure employment and stop migration...if a mistake is made, you will have to live in this condition for another 5 years... enough voting has been done for the children of leaders, now vote for your own children at least once."

Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal on Saturday described the NDA as an army of five Pandavas.

He said: "The NDA alliance is the army of the 5 Pandavas. Before us is the army of the Kauravas... These people had removed the title of Jananayak given to Jananayak Karpoori Thakur ji... The Opposition has no issues to raise or discuss."
Launching a blistering attack at the Mahagathbandhan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav's family had looted Bihar over the years, but are out on bail. He also took a veiled dig at Rahul Gandhi and said the Congress MP was trying to become a 'jan nayak', referring to his 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in the poll-bound state. Click here to read more.

Independent MP from Purnea, Pappu Yadav, has said that Rahul Gandhi will a deputy CM in Bihar, who belongs to the Dalit community.

He said: "Our leader Rahul Gandhi will make both a Dalit and a minority the Deputy Chief Minister. In every situation, there will be one Deputy Chief Minister from the Dalit community and one from the minority community."

Union Minister Chirag Paswan has taken sharp aim at the RJD, accusing it of failing to give Muslims meaningful political representation in Bihar in the upcoming assembly elections.

"In 2005, my leader, my father, the late Ram Vilas Paswan ji sacrificed even his own party to make a Muslim Chief Minister - yet even then, you did not support him. RJD was not ready for a Muslim Chief Minister even in 2005, and today in 2025, it is neither ready to give a Muslim Chief Minister nor a Deputy Chief Minister!" He posted on X.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has said that people of Bihar want a change now and the atmosphere in the state is in favour of the Mahagathbandhan.

He said: "The people of Bihar are in the mood for change... This time, the entire atmosphere is in favour of the Mahagathbandhan. Yesterday, the Prime Minister came here. Every single sentence and word of his speech was negative... He didn’t say anything positive... We would like to ask the Prime Minister, you have been the Prime Minister for the last 11 years, but what have you given to Bihar?"
