Dressed in a white kurta-pajama with a red scarf around his neck, Modi received a warm reception from the Indian community, who chanted his name several times during his address. He highlighted the enduring friendship between India and Russia, stating, “No matter how low the temperature dips below minus during the Russian winter, India-Russia friendship has always remained in ‘plus’, it is full of warmth. This relationship is built on the strong foundation of mutual trust and mutual respect.”

Modi’s remarks were met with enthusiastic applause as he continued to stress the significance of the India-Russia partnership. He also reflected on the recent political achievements in India, mentioning the historic election of the government for a third consecutive term and the clean sweep victories in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha.

“After 60 years, a government being elected for the third time in India is a very big thing in itself,” Modi noted. He proudly wore an Odia scarf, symbolizing his appreciation for Odisha’s transformative progress, and added, “Elections were also held in four states; Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha, and the NDA won in these four states with a clean sweep majority. Odisha has brought about a great revolution and that is why I have also come among you today with an Odia scarf.”

The Prime Minister’s address underscored the robust cultural and diplomatic ties between India and Russia, reaffirming the mutual respect and trust that has long characterized their relationship.
