The minor boy from Pune who was involved in the deadly crash that killed two people, has recently claimed that his family driver was driving the car when the accident happened. The two friends of the 17-year boy, who were with him at the time of the crash, have also backed his claims.
The teenager’s father, real estate developer Vishal Agarwal, also said that it was their family driver, who was employed by him was driving the Porsche.
A speeding Porsche allegedly driven by a teenaged son of real estate developer Vishal Agarwal hit a group of friends, who were returning on motorbikes around 3.15 am on Sunday. The accident occurred at the Kalyani Nagar junction, and claimed the lives of two riders, a man and a woman, both 24 years old.
The latest update in the case, however claims that the luxury vehicle was allegedly being driven by the family driver at the time of the crash.
The driver was questioned by the police in connection to the case and in his first statement, he claimed that he was driving the Porsche when the accident happened, an India Today report stated.
The mobile phone of Vishal Agarwal has also been recovered and efforts are underway to uncover the details of the accident.
Surendra Kumar Agarwal, the grandfather of the 17-year-old boy was also questioned by the crime branch on Thursday after he stood surety for the teenager’s bail and assured the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) that the minor would mend his ways.
According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which has charge-sheeted the boy’s grandfather, he allegedly contracted Chhota Rajan in 2009 to execute Shiv Sena corporator Ajay Bhosale.
The deceased were identified as 24-year-old Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta. While Ashwini hailed from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, Anish belonged to Birsinghpur Pali in Umaria district of the state.
