Delhi Police Issues Traffic Plan for AI Impact Summit

Ahead of the high-profile AI Impact Summit in the capital, Delhi Police has announced extensive traffic regulations from February 16 to 20 to manage movements around the venue and ensure security for visiting global leaders.

The summit will be held at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan and is expected to draw heads of state, ministers and international delegations. Authorities say essential services, including ambulances, will receive priority passage, while the public will be guided through alternate corridors.

Restricted stretches

General vehicle entry will be curtailed during convoy movements on:

  • Bhairon Marg (except Ring Road T-Point)

  • Mathura Road between Subramania Bharti Marg T-Point and Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk

Diversions

Vehicles not bound for Delhi will be pushed toward the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways and other notified routes. Travellers heading to airports or railway stations are advised to leave early and factor in delays.

Open North–South corridor

Police have clarified that Ring Road via Ashram Chowk – Sarai Kale Khan – Raj Ghat – ISBT Kashmiri Gate – Azadpur – Punjabi Bagh – Dhaula Kuan – AIIMS will remain free of restrictions.

With VIP security layered over daily congestion, commuters should expect tight regulation and plan journeys accordingly.
