Bomb Threats Emailed to Two Prominent Delhi Schools, No Suspicious Items Found: Police

Two reputed schools in the national capital received bomb threats via email on Monday, triggering panic and swift security action. According to Delhi Police, one school is located in Chanakyapuri and the other in Dwarka. Both premises were thoroughly searched by bomb disposal squads, and nothing suspicious was found during the operation.

The threat was reportedly sent through email, and the targeted institutions were identified as a Navy school in Chanakyapuri and a CRPF school in Dwarka. Upon receiving the alert, police teams, including bomb detection units and dog squads, rushed to both campuses to ensure student and staff safety.

“The information was shared with the control room and senior officers. Bomb detection staff, along with dog handlers, carried out a detailed check of the school premises. Nothing abnormal has been found so far,” a Delhi Police spokesperson confirmed.

Not the First Incident This Year

This incident follows a series of similar threats made to educational institutions in the Delhi-NCR region earlier this year. Notably, Shiv Nadar School in Noida, Ahlcon International School, and even St. Stephen's College in Delhi had received bomb threats via email in recent months.

In those cases, too, police investigations revealed the threats to be hoaxes, though they prompted significant disruption, with some schools opting to send students home as a precaution.

Noida Schools Also Targeted

Several private schools in Noida have also reported receiving bomb threats in recent weeks. Investigations are ongoing in those cases, with authorities working to trace the source of these threats, which so far appear to be non-credible but deeply disruptive.

Authorities have urged the public not to panic but have reiterated that every such threat is taken seriously and dealt with according to standard security protocol.
