Reality show Rise & Fall 2 has generated controversy within days of its launch, following heated exchanges involving actor Swara Bhasker, political commentator Shehzad Poonawalla and reality-TV personality Siwet Tomar.

The tension initially centred on Bhasker and Poonawalla, whose previous public disagreements carried into the show. During an exchange, both made pointed remarks about each other’s public and professional lives, turning their confrontation into a widely discussed moment.

The controversy intensified during the “Ultimate Ruler” competition. After contestants were asked to identify the weakest decision-maker, disagreements between Tomar and Poonawalla escalated from verbal arguments into a physical confrontation.

Tomar grabbed Poonawalla by the neck and pushed him down during the altercation, according to reports. With physical violence prohibited under the show’s rules, Tomar was subsequently removed from the competition.

The decision created further drama when Bhasker and actor Karan Patel objected to Tomar’s removal, arguing that provocation had contributed to the escalation. They chose to walk out alongside him in protest.

Hosted by former cricketer Virender Sehwag, Rise & Fall 2 has therefore found itself generating attention almost immediately. The clashes underline a familiar reality-TV formula: strong personalities, competitive pressure and unresolved disagreements can rapidly turn entertainment into controversy.
