A High-Level Gathering for India’s Future
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a key National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Chief Ministers’ conclave in New Delhi, focusing on inclusive governance, national security, and development. Attended by 19 Chief Ministers, 19 Deputy Chief Ministers, and top Union Ministers, the meeting emphasized caste census, praised a major military operation, and discussed developmental achievements across states. The conclave was marked by unity, vision, and a renewed drive for “Viksit Bharat”—a developed India.
Caste Census: A Step Toward Fair Representation
One of the most prominent outcomes of the conclave was PM Modi’s endorsement of a caste-based census. Calling it a move toward empowering the underprivileged, Modi emphasized that development cannot be truly inclusive unless it identifies and addresses socio-economic disparities rooted in caste.
The idea was formally proposed by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini and received strong backing from several leaders. BJP President J.P. Nadda clarified that while the NDA does not endorse caste-based politics, the census would be a policy tool to bridge developmental gaps, rather than a means to divide.
The discussion signals a strategic shift—recognizing the importance of data in social policy making while distancing from identity-driven politics.
Operation Sindoor: Military Precision and National Pride
The conclave also unanimously celebrated Operation Sindoor, a recent military strike that targeted terrorist elements with precision. Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma moved the resolution, seconded by Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, praising the operation’s success and its boost to public morale.
The operation was hailed as a symbol of India’s self-reliance in defense, with indigenous technologies playing a key role. The resolution emphasized that India, under PM Modi’s leadership, is sending a strong message to enemies and their sponsors, reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.
Governance Showcase: States Present Success Stories
The conclave turned into a platform for collaborative learning, with various Chief Ministers presenting their best practices. From digital governance to healthcare improvements and infrastructure expansion, the presentations reflected the NDA’s multi-state synergy model.
Key national events were also discussed, including:
· The 1st anniversary of Modi 3.0,
· The 10th International Yoga Day (June 21),
· The 50th anniversary of “Loktantra Hatya Diwas”, commemorating the 1975 Emergency.
Each state was encouraged to align its local governance initiatives with national priorities in preparation for these symbolic milestones.
Tribute and Resolve: Honoring Lives Lost
The gathering began with a moment of silence for the victims of the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The solemn tribute served as a reminder of the ongoing threat of terrorism and the need for national unity and preparedness.
Odisha CM Majhi’s Debut Impresses
Among the many voices, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made a notable impression. The first BJP CM of the state, Majhi shared Odisha’s developmental roadmap and emphasized learning from the successes of fellow NDA-ruled states.
In his own words:
“Proudly showcased Odisha’s impactful initiatives and drew inspiration from the success stories of other NDA-governed states. One mission. One goal. Viksit Bharat.”
Majhi positioned Odisha as a committed partner in the national mission for development and good governance.
Unity, Vision, and a Shared Mission
The NDA CMs’ conclave was more than a routine meeting—it was a strategic reset. With clear focus areas like inclusive growth, security, and performance-driven governance, the alliance is preparing for the future with cohesion and clarity.
From supporting a caste census for equity, to celebrating military victories, and promoting state-level innovation, the conclave underscored the NDA’s ambition to build a secure, united, and developed India. Under PM Modi’s leadership, the message was clear: every state, every citizen, and every idea mattered in the making of Viksit Bharat.
